Easy to do on an A5 as you remove slam panel and the switch is next to the rad. It is much harder on a b7 A4 as you have to take the headlight out. Plenty of videos on YouTube to assist you if your unsure.

Since then -no problems. Weird. A5 3.0 TDI (245) quattro, SE, S-tronic, 19 inch 10-spoke wheels, Drive Select, 3G MMI, B&O, other bits.

Also mine is claimed to come with Tech Package High, which is supposed to have adaptive cruise control.

In the event the vehicle has the E45 stalk, the J527 is going to have an additional wire running from it to the J623 ECM. This is what drgertol is pointing out. You're going to have to run that wire, from plug T16f pin 5 on the J527 through plug T17b (blue) pin 9

Sep 17, 2019 · This solution does help identify if the switch is the issue before you proceed to buying a whole new latch if you wish to do so. Take off the driver door panel, pop off the plastic cover, and expose the driver door lock assembly. Reach for the 2-wire connector plugged into the A046879 unit and unplug it. That's it.

Dec 10, 2010 · Take your time and it's relatively simple. Once you have followed and loosened the "3rd" screw the unit slides out easily. On the back of the unit next to the bulb is a lever that when lifted (or lowered can't remember) releases the bulb. Pop the new one in and reverse the lever.
