My stock size is 205/60R16 and I run 205/55R16 as my winters because I have them leftover from my Gen2. They're not as tall (which is actually kinda nice when removing snow from the wheels haha) and my actual speed is 3 km/hr slower than what my speedometer says. Other than that, no other differences are noted.

HHR LS 2008 (bought used, private sale), came with 4 mounted tires 205 55 16 R but the door plaque says 215 55 16 R and i never even noticed. So i took it to have 4 new tires put on, and when the reception took the info, she got 205 off the tires and so the tech put 205s on it, and i guess NO ONE bothered to look at the door plaque.
Jan 12, 2010 · if you are set on 225's you will want to get a smaller profile tire. a 225/55/16 will be much taller than a 205/55/16. google "miata tire calculator" also, going "hella flush" is a good bit out of your league at the moment. you have it backwards boss. you want narrow tires in winter and wider tires in summer.
