Oct 6, 2021 · It's just a save file. Unzip to C:\Users\ YourUserNameHere \Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected\. Start the game. Choose the character in offline mode. Rob everything from his inventory. The small charms provides increased mf and exp bonus, and each comes with useful paladin auras or buffs from other classes. Choose and combine as you like.
Having searched the web, I found very few references to the Diablo II .d2s file format, and most of them covered the old (pre-1.08) version. Diablo II v1.09 has significantly changed the file format. I have started another page which details the layout of the major parts of the .d2s file.

To know the changes of the d2s file after playing a session of Diablo 2 I created these handy perl scripts: View load_d2s.pl View myconfig.pm View changes.pl So basically what you do is is you go: perl load_d2s.pl #this copies your D2S character save file to loaded.d2s #Play some Diablo II and Save and Exit perl changes.pl #observe the changes!

Huh. Not sure why they're in C:\Users - all mine are in Diablo II\Save. PlugY has a setting in the config file to adjust where files are saved, if you haven't tried that yet. Otherwise, you could always create separate directories for different versions of the game.

I've been using it for about 6 years now. One thing you could do is go to the Search bar of your Start menu, type up your single player character name, and see if your computer can find it. I just tried it (I typed Palligator, the name of my Zealot), the the .d2s file showed up. See if that helps you find your characters.

Dec 12, 2016 · i'm sporting a xenial xub & i was wondering where diablo 2 stores the save data, ran thru wine, for i cannot find it in the default folder (namely the "Save" one). I ran a search on the entire filesystem for the characters' names with no hits. I didn't install the game i transplanted it & it's patched to the latest 14d, but it works spick & span.
